In this update, we're excited to officially introduce two key features:

First, we've integrated the Write capability into our Chat. Now, you can simply converse with Chat, and it will help you draft Thoughts, intelligently summarize Board materials to generate analytical reports, or even create images to embed in your documents. The introduction of Write significantly lowers the barrier to creation, making collaborative work with AI as seamless and natural as breathing.

Concurrently, YouMind's unique version comparison feature will allow you to witness firsthand the remarkable synergy and boundless possibilities of human-AI co-creation.

Second, this upgrade introduces the "New board" feature. It's no longer just a simple input; instead, once you outline your topic requirements, YouMind will intelligently search for relevant materials, summarize and refine them, and adjust the directory structure accordingly. The core objective of our intelligent "New board" process is to empower you to explore new topics with greater ease and confidence.

Furthermore, we anticipate that the introduction of the "New board" feature will significantly accelerate your research and material analysis processes.

In addition, we've implemented several routine fixes and updates, detailed below:

• The intelligent "New board" feature has been officially released. Clicking "New board" now prompts YouMind to automatically search for relevant content and create a board, concurrently generating summaries and adjusting the board's directory structure based on your specifications.
• The AI Chat model selection now includes a "Best" option. Selecting this option enables the system to automatically choose the optimal model for the current context, allowing you to focus more intently on content consumption and creation. (This option is also available in custom Assistant settings).
• A new toolbar has been added to the right side of Thought, supporting module addition, format modification, and historical record viewing.
• Thought now incorporates a version history feature, enabling users to review editing history and perform rollbacks. For content co-edited with AI, this feature provides a more comprehensive display of modifications and their underlying reasons.

💎 Improvements

• The toolbar at the top of images and SVG graphics has been optimized, now supporting operations such as copying and saving as Snips.
• AI Write capabilities have been enhanced with a new diff view, offering a more intuitive and seamless reading and comparison experience.
• Thought now provides an outline feature. Once a title is composed, the outline can be activated on the left side of the Thought interface, allowing for a quick overview of the document's structure.
• Resolved issues with unstable image modifications in AI Write; image diffs are now more precise and controllable.
• Support has been added for organizing and adjusting Board directories via conversation within AI Chat.
• Addressed inconsistencies in tool presentation styles within AI Chat.
• Fixed an issue with the Chrome extension's right-click save functionality.
• The Board directory now supports "More actions" for editing, deleting, and archiving.
• Optimized the plugin's theme switching; the transition is now more fluid when opening the YouMind plugin on web pages with varying color schemes.
• Resolved the inability to log in via Apple account on iOS.
• Fixed an issue where the recording panel did not close automatically after successful recording on iOS.
• Enhanced the new search citation feature. Users can now view specific citation sources within AI responses, and all relevant sources are displayed at the bottom of the conversation.
• Addressed the issue of excessively long titles in New board; the new version optimizes for concise and direct titles.

In this iteration update, we are introducing two key updates:

The first is that we have restructured the underlying Chat capabilities. The current Chat is more advanced; in the Board, you can not only have conversations and search for materials, but also generate images and SVGs. Additionally, after this underlying upgrade, we have added a Write feature, allowing you to have the AI generate a Thought for you in Chat. You can also generate accompanying images based on the content, and YouMind Chat will automatically include them in the Thought.

The second major update is the upgrade to the Custom Assistant. We have improved the way you use the Custom Assistant, making testing easier during the customization process. We also introduced a Tools feature, allowing you to select the tools you need in the Custom Assistant, such as image generation. Meanwhile, to address the frequent running issues with the Custom Assistant, we have added a running mode where you can choose to activate the Custom Assistant either automatically or manually.

These two major changes focus on assisting reading and creation of material content within the Board, and we hope you will enjoy them.

• Adjusted the interaction in the left navigation so that the panel disappears automatically when the mouse moves away.
• Fixed the issue of Snip not remembering the position while scrolling; the current position memory has been cleared.
• Fixed the display issue of SVG images in Thoughts.
• Resolved the error when switching between different reasoning models in Write.

In this update, we've primarily focused on enhancing Chat's capabilities and stability. We've introduced support for calling 'Tools' within Chat based on user intent, ensuring a more natural interaction during your conversations.

We've also upgraded and optimized the animation effects during the AI's response process, making it clearer whichstepsthe model is executing.

• Adjusted the default landing page after opening YouMind; it now defaults to the Board List page, making it easier for users to view their managed Board collections.
• Increased the default number of Boards displayed in the left sidebar from 5 to 10.
• Optimized Chat conversation details, including content generation animations and tool calls.
• Updated the style of the 'Regenerate' feature in AI Chat, improving space utilization.
• Optimized official website loading performance and addressed potential CPU usage issues.
• Fixed the page jump input functionality in PDF preview.

We're thrilled to announce another Mind Studio update in this version! You'll now find a new toolbar at the bottom of each Assistant, allowing you to have continuous conversations with your Assistant and the content it generates. You can also save content as a 'Thought' or 'Image' for further creation or sharing.

Additionally, we've introduced 'Tools' for custom Assistants, such as the Web Search feature. Now, you can instruct your Assistant to perform web searches or generate images directly using its instructions.

We've introduced an advanced image creation function, supporting two modes: ChatGPT 4o and Claude SVG image generation.

Additionally, a powerful translator assistant has been added.

We’re thrilled to share with everyone that after a period of development, YouMind has officially entered the 0.2 product stage. In this version, you’ll notice that we’ve revamped the overall product structure, making the Board the central hub of YouMind. All material collection, AI conversations, and creative thinking now take place within this single container.

At the same time, we’ve refreshed the visual style of the Board and introduced a key feature called Mind Studio. This is an Assistant factory designed to support reading and creation. In addition to some built-in Assistants provided by YouMind, we’ve also added customization options. Users can easily create an Assistant tailored to their specific creative needs with just a few simple inputs.

Additionally, we’ve incorporated some highly requested features from our users, such as Note. Now, you can take notes while reading materials directly on the platform. This feature will soon be available on the plugin side as well.

After a period of internal testing and incorporating user feedback, this version of YouMind mainly focuses on updating the capabilities of our AI Chat. We hope to provide users with a more natural experience in reading content and obtaining information. Therefore, we have introduced features such as AI Search and model switching, allowing users to more easily complete assisted reading through conversations.

In this iteration, we've also introduced the DeepSeek R1 model. You can now immersively and without limitations experience all the features brought by the DeepSeek inference model on YouMind.

We launched our startup venture in May 2024, initially focusing on fundraising and team building. Over the past few months, we've been deeply immersed in product development, and I'm excited to share that we've finally created our first working prototype. While it's still in its early stages, we're taking the same approach we did with our codebase - embracing openness from day one. Just as we chose to make our code open-source from the beginning, we want to maintain this spirit of transparency with our product development.
